This song reminds me of the scene in Rebel Without a Cause where James Dean, the rebellious outcast, has finally won over the respect of the leader of the popular gang. To celebrate this new found friendship, Dean partakes in a game of chicken with the beloved leader and runs the innocent kid’s car off a cliff. The universally admired teenager plunges into the jagged rocks and dies almost instantly. The End…

But wait, there’s more.  The entire school witnesses the tragedy in optimistic horror, fleeing the scene and never speaking of the incident again. “Hey, at least it wasn’t me,” the cold-hearted brats thought as they ate their Rice Krispies the next day.
